What is SIGINT?

SIGINT is the student Cyber Security group at the University of Edinburgh.

The group was founded in September 2016 by 4 undergraduate students and today is run by 11 students. We host regular events with over 100 attendees and are a Special Interest Group of CompSoc.

What does SIGINT mean?

SIGINT is a play on SIG, CompSoc’s take on “Special Interest Group” and also SIGINT which also stands for “SIGnals INTelligence” which is the official term for snooping on communications between people, places and countries.
